The original concept was drawn as a residential building which included a range of different-sized rooms and a sophisticated stairways system. Contrast between rigorous palace exterior and distinctively rugged arcade atrium with romanticizing details was charcateristic for this spectacular construction. Mestsky dvur was considered to be one of the most luxurious and prestige addresses in Brno.
