• Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant: Located in Lusby, MD, Calvert Cliffs Unit 1 began generating electricity in 1975 and Unit 2 joined the system in 1977.
• Calvert Cliffs State Park: Formed over 15 million years ago, the Calvert Cliffs span 30 miles of shoreline along the Chesapeake Bay in Southern Maryland. Designated as State Wildlands, 1,079 acres of the park are preserved for protection, restoration, hiking and nature appreciation
• Calvert Marine Museum: Located in Solomons, Maryland, the Calvert Marine Museum is a public, non-profit, educational, regionally oriented museum dedicated to the collection, preservation, research, and interpretation of the culture and natural history of Southern Maryland.
• Cove Point Lighthouse: Maryland0s oldest continuously operating light station. There is a small observation platform that lets one look over the fence for an unobstructed view of the sights, as well as maritime traffic going up and down the bay.
• First Colony Shopping Plaza: The hotel is located in the First Colony Shopping Plaza, which features such major retailers as Target, Lowe's, PetCo, Marshalls, and Giant Grocery.

• Chesapeake Biologial Laboratory: The Chesapeake Biological Laboratory (CBL) is a marine research facility of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES).
• Patuxent River Naval Air Museum: The Museum's outdoor park features various naval aviation aircraft. Inside the Museum you'll see drone aircraft, a variety of aircraft engines, exhibits on G-forces, ejection seat and helmet development. Admission and parking are free.
• Patuxent River NAS - Trapnell Field: Patuxent Naval Air Station is the headquarters of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), the Air Test Wing, and the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division.
• Point Lookout State Park: Once a prison camp which imprisoned as many as 52,264 Confederate soldiers during the Civil War, this state park now offers swimming, boating, camping, hiking and hunting, as well as a Civil War Museum and Marshland Nature Center.
• Solomons Island: This small island community, features numerous marinas, seafood restaurants, gift shops, a boardwalk, an upscale gourmet grocery, and a sculpture garden. It is also home to the Tiki Bar, which is well known for its raucous opening weekend in the spring.
• St. Mary's College Of Maryland: St. Mary0s College of Maryland is a four-year non-sectarian liberal arts college , which is founded on the site of Maryland0s first capital, and is designated the state0s honors college.
• St. Mary's River State Park: The park is separated into two areas, Sites 1 and 2. The Site 1 area holds the 250 acre St. Mary's Lake and Site 2 is a wildlands area and a managed hunting area. The lake is a trophy bass lake, and special regulations may be in effect.
• St. Mary's City Museum: Decades of research are the foundation of exhibits at Historic St. Mary's City. The museum0s archaeological collection of over 5 million artifacts is a internationally significant resource for professional archaeologists and other scholars.
