In 1909, F.O. Stanley, CO-Inventor of the Stanley Steamer Automobile, opened his grand hotel. The Stanley is nestled high on the eastern slope of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and is less than six miles from Rocky Mountain National Park. White-Pillared Georgian Architecture, Fine Dining and Dancing still echo the graciousness of that Bygone era and the rich history of the Stanley Hotel. Today, the Stanley hosts hundreds of conferences and weddings and many thousands of tourist yearly - The Ultimate, Romantic getaway. The Stanley Hotel is one of Colorado*s great old hotels and is listed on the National Register of Historic Districts.
