Via commercial shuttle or Taxi: The Gray Line Airport Shuttle, Super Shuttle and Carey Airport Express provides shuttle bus service to Manhattan for approximately $15 and travel time is 30 - 60 minutes. Taxi service to Manhattan costs about $25 - $30 with tolls and tip, depending upon your destination. Via public transportation: Public transportation is available to and from Manhattan. The cost each way is $1.50 on the subway. Take the free shuttle bus (which operates 24 hours) to the Howard Beach/JFK Airport subway station. From there take the "A" train to Manhattan.
