Riverbank Lodge Property Description

Newly built in 2006, RiverBank Lodge is a beautiful Northwoods themed facility located on the banks of the Sangamon River in the heart of Historic Menard County, IL. Dramatic interior spaces include a lobby with a soaring 50ft ceiling, 2nd floor wrap-around balcony and many rooms overlooking the river. Partionable meeting rooms available for small conferences and retreats. Our location in the town of Petersburg is just minutes away from many places to visit and things to do. The Menard County Tourism office is located right inside our building to help guests make decisions. We are located next to Lincolns New Salem State Park, an 1830s recreation of President Lincoln's boyhood home. The State Capitol of Springfield is only 25 minutes away where you can enjoy the day touring additional Lincoln sites including the new state-of-the-art Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and Library. Also within minutes are the Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish and Wildlife Preserve, as well as both Emiquon and Chautauqua Nature Preserves. These visitor-friendly destinations provide nature-based learning and viewing opportunities.
