Sit on a bench by the bay cedar tree, take in the flowers and listen to the soothing waters in a nearby fountain. For those on the dock side of Sanibel Moorings, you will notice the newly refurbished docks where you can tie up your boat for free and have easy access to the Caloosahatchee River and Gulf of Mexico. You are welcome to fish on the beach or off the Sanibel Moorings docks. Tarpon, snook and sea trout are just some of the popular catches during season. In fact, the Sanibel-Captiva area is known as one of the top tarpon fishing locations in the world.
