*All Individuals must present photo identification for entry onto West Point* From Lower Westchester County and Connecticut: Take I-95 to Route 287, to the Tappan Zee Bridge. Over the bridge, take exit 13N onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway (PIP) heading North. Take the PIP to the end and proceed to the Bear Mountain traffic circle. Follow signs for Route 9W North and West Point (3rd exit off circle). Take the Route 218 (West Point) exit. Stay on 218 until the West Point Thayer gate (South gate). The Thayer Hotel is just beyond the gate on the right. From Northern Westchester and Putnam Counties: Take Route 9 to the Bear Mountain Bridge. Over the bridge, bear to the right and follow signs to Route 9W North (1st exit off bridge). Exit on 218 (West Point exit). Stay in the right lane. Follow to Thayer Gate. The Thayer Hotel is just beyond the gate on the right. From the Bronx, Queens, Long Island, JFK or La Guardia Airports: Follow signs to the Bronx - Whitestone Bridge. After crossing the bridge, stay on the Hutchinson River Parkway North to Cross County Parkway West to 287 (NYS Thruway). Take the left lane exit to Tappan Zee Bridge and Interstate 87 (NYS Thruway). Over bridge, take exit 13 N onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway (PIP) heading North. Take the PIP to the end (Bear Mountain traffic circle). Follow signs for Route 9W North (3rd exit off circle). Get off at 218 (West Point) exit. Stay on 218 until gate. The Thayer Hotel is just beyond the gate on the right. From New Jersey and Newark Airport: Take Interstate 78 West to The Garden State Parkway (GSP). Take the GSP North to the end. Take I-87 South (NYS Thruway / 287 East) towards Tappan Zee Bridge. Exit Thruway at exit 13N onto Palisades Parkway North. Take the PIP to the end (Bear Mountain traffic circle). Follow signs for Route 9W North and West Point (3rd exit off circle). Take the Route 218 (West Point) exit (1st West Point/Highland Falls Exit). Stay on 218 until the West Point Thayer gate (South gate). The Thayer Hotel is just beyond the gate on the right. From Stewart Airport: Turn left out of Airport parking lot. Follow this road to the end (traffic light). Make a left onto Route 207. Continue on this road. At the next traffic light, go straight. You will end up at Vails Gate. Continue straight ahead. This road turns into Route 32. Follow to the next traffic light and make a left. Follow the road to 9W South (the entrance will be on the right). Take 9W South over the mountain and take the 3rd exit (Highland Falls / West Point). Go straight ahead and follow signs to The Thayer Hotel. From White Plains Airport: Take Route 684 South to Route 287 West. Follow 287 West all the way to the Tappan Zee Bridge. Take exit 13 North to the Palisades Parkway North. Follow the Palisades to the end until the Bear Mountain Traffic Circle. From the Circle, take the exit for 9W North (West Point/Highland Falls). Follow 9W North for about 3 miles and take the exit for West Point/Highland Falls. Follow through the town of Highland Falls until you reach the Thayer Gate. The Thayer Hotel is located just inside the gate on the right. From Albany: Take the NYS Thruway South to exit 16. Pass through toll, take the first exit and turn left at light. Follow signs to Route 6 and Bear Mountain Bridge. Enter traffic circle before the bridge (3rd exit off traffic circle). Follow signs to West Point / Route 218. Stay on 218 until gate.
